Every Saturday the Serpentine Gallery hosts talks and seminars free to the public.

Joanna S. Walker, Freelance Art Historian and Curator, discusses themes connected to the exhibition Nancy Spero.

Joanna S. Walker completed her Ph.D. in History of Art at University College London (2008). Her thesis, based on the art work of the American feminist artist, Nancy Spero, is being published next autumn as a monograph with Ashgate Publishing. An all-round arts professional, Dr. Walker has held positions as a university tutor, an arts fundraiser and a publishing editor, her most recent professional appointment being at Tate in London. She is curating an exhibition of Alice Anderson's art at the Freud Museum next spring supported by Arts Council England.
