Rachel Taylor, Curator, discusses themes connected to the exhibition
Rachel Taylor is part of the Collections, International Art team at Tate Modern where she works on acquisitions of works by established and emerging contemporary international artists for Tate’s permanent Collection, with a particular focus on work from North America and the Asia-Pacific region. She is a member of Tate Modern’s Displays Delivery Group, which programmes the rotating displays of works in Tate Modern's Collection galleries. She has recently curated exhibitions including 9 Scripts from a Nation at War (13 June – 25 August 2008) and Michael Rakowitz: The worst condition is to pass under a sword which is not one’s own (22 January – 12 May 2010) for the Level 2 Gallery, Tate Modern’s dedicated gallery for emerging art. She is currently working on a forthcoming retrospective exhibition on the work of Yayoi Kusama.
