This catalogue documents the realisation of the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2007 and investigates the unique partnership of artist and architect that led to the genesis and creation of this remarkable work of architecture. As well as including full-colour images of the drawings, sketches, plans and photographs that built the foundation of this project, the book will contain texts by Doreen Massey, social scientist and Professor of Geography at the Open University, and Ilka and Andreas Ruby, founders of Textbild, an agency of architectural communication. In addition, there will be a conversation between Olafur Eliasson, Kjetil Thorsen, Julia Peyton-Jones and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
