Anthony McCall (born Britain, 1946) makes work that crosses the boundaries between film, sculpture,
installation, drawing and performance and is most well known for his ‘solid light’ film series, including the legendary, Line Describing a Cone, 1973.

These works are simple projections that strikingly emphasise the sculptural qualities of a beam of light. In darkened, haze-filled rooms, the mesmerising projections create an illusion of three-dimensional shapes, ellipses, waves and flat planes that gradually expand, contract or sweep through space. This limited-edition print is an image from one of his most recent ‘solid light’ installations, Between You and I, 2006.

His work is collected by Tate, London; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. He lives and works in New York
